About Me

I am Paalamugan, a full stack engineer in Chennai with 9 years on Next.js and TypeScript products. I take the whole slice: the React app, the Node service behind it, the Postgres schema both depend on, and the CI that ships them.

At Glidewell Dental I shipped payment scheduling and AutoPay in Next.js, tRPC and TanStack Query, and built the lab management system that 500+ dental labs use every day. Before that, Node microservices for General Motors at 99.9% uptime, and four SaaS products at NamLabs serving 50,000+ users.

Right now I am building a multi-tenant CRM for a real-estate builder: Next.js 16 and NestJS on Prisma and Postgres, with 233 row-level security policies enforcing tenant isolation across 32 models, covered by 208 Vitest files. I publish the @paalstack React packages I build it with.

What I do all day

Frontend

React 19, Next.js and TypeScript, with Tailwind and a design system built on Radix-style primitives. I care about bundle size, Core Web Vitals and keeping the Lighthouse score above 95.

Backend and data

NestJS and Express services on Prisma and Postgres. Row-level security for tenant isolation, Redis for pub/sub, and uptime I can put a number on: 99.9% on the General Motors platform.

Platform

pnpm and Turborepo monorepos, Vite Module Federation and single-spa for micro-frontends, GitHub Actions for CI, and Vitest and Playwright suites that actually run before merge.

AI in the product

Shipped an AI Digital RX platform on AWS Bedrock and Claude 3.5, plus the MCP server and client behind it, handling 1,000+ daily requests at sub-200ms latency.
